Råbjerg Mile is a fantastic site for families, with room for everyone. The camp site is at the very cap of North Jutland, in the midst of Denmark’s magnificent natural landscapes within Skagen Odde – the Scaw Spit – and close to the huge sand dune known as Råbjerg Mile. The distance between the North Sea (Vesterhavet) at Kandestederne and the calm seas of the Kattegat at Hulsig is only 6 km: there are many beach walks to enjoy.
The camp site is surrounded by countryside, inviting excursions galore as well as the chance to experience nature whilst walking, running, or cycling. The camp site is 12 km south of Skagen town, a delightful spot with a fishing harbour and a wealth of tradespeople. Skagen has plenty of cultural options, too. Skagen Museum, Anna and Michael Ancher´s House, the Buried Church, Grenen (a long sandbar spit) or a stroll round the harbour. The town can be easily reached by bicycle and has wonderful cycle paths across Hulsig heath and back to Skagen. The camp site is also a great centre for cycling in the area, with outings for example to Bunken Dune Plantation, the town of Ålbæk, ‘Farm Fun’, the beach of Kandestederne, the eagle reserve Ørnereservat, Tversted and Tversted lakes.
Camping close to Skagen – a camp site on top of the (world) Danish peninsula
The pitches are laid out in curved bands bordered on three sides by greenery, which means that the site never seems too big. By far the majority of pitches are quite private. The camp site has both an indoor pool and an aqua park, as well as the outdoor pool. The aqua park is always welcoming when the Danish summer seems a bit distant. We also boast a football pitch, tennis court, mini-golf, several super playgrounds and a few bouncy castles.
We have something for every taste and all ages. The camp site offers the hire of cabins and caravans. We have luxury chalets and standard cabins as well as caravans to hire. You can also hire a caravan from our fixed-pitch fleet. For cyclists on Route no 208 – West Coast cycle path no 1, you will be passing First Camp Råbjerg Mile. We always have room for campers to pitch their tent at First Camp Råbjerg Mile. Whether on a holiday in a cabin or chalet, a caravan, auto camper or tent, we have space to accommodate you.
