Telemark Canal

Sail the Telemark Canal, connecting coastal and inland Telemark with 8 lock systems. Lunde Lock, right by our destination in Lunde - Telemark, welcomes canal boats. Cruise between Lunde - Telemark and Norsjø - Telemark in a day. Watch two canal boats meet, the canal's only crossing point, from the Lunde camping area. Check ticket prices here. Canal boat season starts on May 18th.

Lifjell

Bø Sommarland

500 meters from Bø - Telemark, discover Scandinavia's biggest waterpark, Bø - Sommarland! Dive into attractions like Magasuget, Mot i Brøstet (Norway's largest water roller coaster), Flow Rider (world's largest artificial surf wave), and Sommarlandselva, a 270-meter-long artificial riverand this year's novelty, Hiwihuhu, as pictured. Norsjø - Telemark and Lunde - Telemark are only a 25-minute drive away. Closed for the 2024 summer season, reopens in June 2025.

Heddal stavkirke

Norway's grandest stave church from the 1200s is still a lively parish church. Stretching 25m long, 17m wide, and towering 29m high, Heddal Stave Church preserves traces of 800 years of church life. Gaustatoppen

Gygrestolen

At 1188 meters, 'Stolen' offers a challenging hike with its unique stone slope, shaped by the last ice age. Sturdy ankle-high boots are a must for this breathtaking journey, providing views of both cultural and natural landscapes. The round trip from the parking lot is about 3.5 km, while the full loop doubles the distance.

Husefjell

Hike to Husefjell, 395 m above sea level, for family-friendly fun with scenic views over Lunde. A 'Top Ten' pick, it takes about 1.5 hours round trip from the Drangedal quarry. Perfect for families and all skill levels

Fruktbygda Gvarv

Gvarv is known for delivering the best fruit experience in Norway, based on 500,000 trees in delightful fruit landscapes. Visit the unique community with local products and traditions.
