Welcome to First Camp Norsjø – Telemark, the place where camping and marina meet in a breathtakingly beautiful setting! With its incredible location by Lake Norsjön and the combination of mountains, nature and bathing, this is a place where holiday lovers and locals have been gathering for many years. It is always teeming with life here, buzzing with activity in the spring, summer and autumn.

 

 

At the camping site, you can choose to stay in a cabin, in a glamping tent or on a camping pitch with your motorhome, caravan or tent. Here, you will be staying a stone’s throw from Lake Norsjön, close to the beach no matter where you stay. Many cabins and pitches have got magical view over the lake.

 

 

If you like action-packed holidays, you will be in for a treat at Norsjø! With numerous activities, water sports and close proximity to excursions and sights, it is impossible to have a dull moment. The campsite features miniature golf, playground, jumping pillow and many rental activities such as canoeing and SUP (Stand Up Paddling). If you are up for a day trip, you will find many destinations nearby. The round trips over the Telemark Canal go directly from the pier in the area. And just within 20 minutes by car you will reach the biggest water park in Scandinavia, Bø Sommarland, a very popular activity among families with children. Practical information

 

Activities
Mini golf: Our mini golf course is located outside the terrace at Bistro Svilla. It costs 40 NOK per person. Please contact reception for payment and equipment such as clubs and golf balls.
Water activities besides the cable park include several pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, and 2 motorboats that you can rent at the reception/shop during opening hours. Here you will be provided with all the equipment you need.

 

Dumping and waste disposal
There are 2 dumping stations on the campsite, one at the entrance where waste management is located, and there is also gray water disposal. The other dumping station is located near service house 2, where waste management is also available. At First Camp Norsjø, there is residual waste, food waste, paper/cardboard, glass/metal, and plastic.

 

Electric car charging
There are no charging stations at the campsite, but 7 km away in Bø at Bø Centeret there are several fast charging stations. In Notodden, there are several charging stations, including Tesla superchargers, which are located 20 km from the campsite. Norsjø Hotel, located 2 km away, has 2 charging stations that can also be used

 

Norsjø Cable Park Opening Hours
May 10 – June 16: Open Saturday and Sunday 12:00 – 16:00
June 17 – August 13: Open every day from 12:00 – 17:00
August 14 – September 10: Open Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 – 16:00
The Norwegian Cable Park Championship will be held on September 9. Everyone is welcome as spectators, but it is closed for driving in the Cable Park for those not participating in the championship. It is possible to book for groups in September.

 

Public transportation
The nearest bus stop, Akkerhaugen Bridge, is about a 15-minute walk from the campsite. The bus will take you to places such as Lunde Sluse and Bø Station. See travel planner www.farte.no or vy.no. Bus number 323 stops at Akkerhaugen Bridge. During the summer season, the Canal Boat takes you to destinations connected to the Telemark Canal.

Train
Nordagutu station is about an 8-minute drive from First Camp Norsjø camping, with direct connections to the Sørlandsbanen. Book a taxi from the train, as there are not always taxis available at the train station. If you want to buy some food before you arrive, Joker grocery store is right behind the train station.

The destination is open during the summer season, with seasonal opening from March 31 for 2023.

Service houses
We have 2 service houses on the premises, service house 1 is located near the bistro and reception where there are separate restrooms for men and women, an accessible toilet, a kitchen, and a laundry room. In service house 2, there are family rooms, toilets, combined shower and toilet facilities, a children’s room, and a toilet. With us, you don’t pay anything extra to take a shower, as it is included when you are a guest with us.

 

Shop/kiosk
The shop has the same entrance as the reception and has the same opening hours. See above for the reception’s opening hours. Here you will find accessories for simple meals, toys for both swimming and other outdoor activities, some camping equipment, and of course, both ice cream cones and soft serve ice cream. Welcome!

 

Wifi
All cabins have broadband to each cabin. There is also a guest network (somewhat weak) elsewhere in the area at the campsite.
