Skutberget – Karlstad

Our campsite is located in the beautiful area of Skutberget in Karlstad. Only ten minutes from Karlstad City is First Camp Skutberget – Karlstad, where you can stay in a scenic setting on the beautiful shore of Lake Vänern.

 

On this campsite, adventure is never far away, and you’ll find activities for both young and old campers. Play beach volleyball, challenge your friends to disc golf, play miniature golf on our competitive adventure golf course or jog along the exercise trails in the area. Our bright and popular bistro serves summer lunch and dinner, and the service shop sells freshly baked bread every morning.

 

Ten minutes away by bus, car, or bicycle is Karlstad’s wide variety of restaurants, shopping, and excursions. Did you know that Karlstad is known as the coffee-smelling summer city with loads of festivals, boat buses, and a stunning archipelago with plenty of islands to visit?

Waste
At First Camp, we actively work to protect the environment — and we hope you’ll join us. At our waste stations, we sort plastic, aluminum, glass, cardboard, and newspapers. Each station has clear instructions to help you sort correctly.

 

Gates
You can open the gate with the access cards you receive at check-in.

 

Bus Connections
A bus runs daily and stops right outside the campsite. You’ll find the schedule at reception.

 

Shop
The service shop is open during the spring and summer seasons. The selection grows gradually throughout spring, so we can offer a full range of products during the summer.

 

Electric Vehicle Charging
At Skutberget, four charging stations are available, each with 11 kW and a Type 2 outlet. Payment is not handled at reception, and reservations are not possible. Charging and payment are done through the InCharge app.

 

Defibrillator
A defibrillator is located at the reception.

 

Service Cards
At check-in, you’ll receive up to two access/service cards. These can be loaded with credit and are used for facilities such as the washing machines (showers are free).

 

Waste Disposal Station
Cassette toilet emptying is available at Service Building 1 and in a separate building in Area 400. A station for fixed motorhome tanks is located behind Service Building 1.

 

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available in selected areas of the campsite — at the reception, in the service buildings, and in the cabin area.

 

Opening Hours
First Camp Skutberget – Karlstad is open year-round. Other facilities, such as the restaurant and shop, have varying opening hours depending on the season.
