Sustainability at First Camp – Food
Sustainable, delicious, and with care
At First Camp, we are committed to making conscious and sustainable choices in every aspect of our food service. By choosing ingredients that are organic, fair trade, or have a low climate impact, we contribute to a healthier environment, fair working conditions for producers, and high-quality food. We prioritize sustainably sourced seafood, reduce the climate impact of meat, avoid unsustainable palm oil, and offer vegetarian and vegan options. At the same time, we actively work to reduce food waste and plastic use – for the sake of the environment and future generations.
- Sustainable Ingredients
We choose organic, eco-labeled, or fair trade certified ingredients whenever possible. - Focus on Low Climate Impact
When labels are not available, we select ingredients with a high climate score according to Consupedia. - Sustainably Sourced Fish and Seafood
During the 2025 season, all fish and seafood in our Bistros will be MSC-certified. - Less and Better Meat
We reduce our meat purchases and select meat with a low climate impact and high animal welfare standards. - Sustainable Palm Oil
Food products containing palm oil must include RSPO-certified palm oil or an equivalent certification. - Vegetarian & Vegan Options
We offer plant-based dishes – for the environment and to make everyone feel welcome. - Tap Water as Standard
We always serve tap water – an environmentally friendly, plastic-free, and safe choice. - Reducing Food Waste
We track food waste to reduce losses and conserve resources.
