Accessibility at our destinations
Camping is a type of holiday that suits everyone, and at First Camp we want the experience to be accessible, safe and memorable for as many people as possible – regardless of individual needs or circumstances. Further down this page, you can read more about the available options and find answers to frequently asked questions.
Find a destination that suits you
With over 70 destinations in a variety of settings, there are plenty of opportunities to find a campsite that suits you – whether you prefer being close to nature, the buzz of the city, or something in between. We offer a wide range of cabin categories, and several of them are equipped with features such as ramps, extra-wide doorways and other adaptations to make your stay more accessible. The layout of campsite areas and service buildings also varies between destinations, both in terms of accessibility and available facilities.
If you have questions about accessibility at a specific destination, you can read more on the destination page, view the site map, or contact the destination directly. We’re happy to help.
Examples of accessibility adaptations
Here are examples of accessibility adaptations available at our destinations. These vary between destinations and accommodation types. Please contact the specific destination for more detailed information about available features and whether they meet your needs.

Choosing a cabin based on accessibility needs
At several destinations, cabins are available with different accessibility adaptations, such as ramps, larger bathrooms, wider doorways or other features that can make your stay easier. If an accessible cabin is part of the same category as standard cabins, you can choose it at no extra cost.

Choosing a campsite based on your needs
When booking a campsite pitch, you can choose a specific pitch at no extra cost – for example, to improve accessibility or to be close to a service building with an accessible toilet (RWC).

Companion access to pool areas
At destinations with a pool area, companions receive free entry when visiting together with the person who requires assistance.

Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome at our destinations, both on camping pitches and in cabins. There is no additional fee when booking with an assistance dog. For allergy considerations, guests with assistance dogs are accommodated in pet-friendly cabins.
Cabins with accessibility adaptations
Several of our destinations offer cabins with accessibility adaptations. The cabins have been built at different times and based on varying local conditions, which means that both the design and level of accessibility can vary between destinations and cabin types. Adaptations may include features such as ramps, wider doorways or more accessible bathrooms.
Some cabins have their own category and can easily be booked online, while others are part of the same category as cabins without accessibility adaptations. We recommend reviewing the description of each cabin and, if needed, contacting the destination before booking to get more information and assess whether the cabin meets your needs. We’re here to help make your stay as smooth as possible.
