Boat rental in Bud
With a boat from First Camp Bud, there’s plenty to discover along the Norwegian coast. Take a trip to beautiful Ona and Bjørnsund, or explore the small islands near the campsite. On warm summer days, find a lovely spot, go for a swim, snorkel in the clear water or enjoy something delicious from the barbecue.
If fishing is on the agenda, we’re happy to help you get started. At reception, you can get tips on great fishing areas and nautical charts, while our fishing shop has everything you need for your trip. After a day at sea, it’s wonderful to return to the campsite. Stay in a cabin, pitch your tent or settle in with your motorhome or caravan.
Our rental boats
We have several types of boats to choose from, ranging from spacious aluminium boats to a smaller, easy-to-handle model for trips closer to shore. Several of the boats are equipped with chartplotters and sonar, giving you useful tools while out at sea.

A robust and easy-to-handle aluminium boat, ideal for sea fishing and trips along the coast. There’s plenty of space on board, making it suitable for everything from fishing and diving to excursions at sea. Great destinations include Bjørnsund and Ona, or you can head out for sea fishing around Molde or try your luck fishing for halibut.

A spacious aluminium boat with a hardtop and a more powerful engine. There are two seats under the roof, as well as seating in the bow, in front of the console and on the rear bench. The boat also offers plenty of storage space and rod holders at the stern – perfect for long days at sea.

Kværnø 630 HT Motorguide

This model combines a hardtop with a Motorguide trolling motor – particularly useful when you want to keep the boat in the same position while fishing. Once you’ve found your fishing spot, the Motorguide can help you hold your position without traditional anchoring.
The Motorguide must be booked together with the boat.

A spacious, easy-to-handle fibreglass boat with a steering console and comfortable seating at the front and rear. The boat is stable on the water and well suited to fishing trips and boat trips closer to shore. This model is not intended for trips far out to sea.

Safety at sea
Safety always comes first. Before you leave the harbour, we’ll give you a thorough introduction to the boat and useful information about the waters around Bud. You are also responsible for familiarising yourself with the nautical chart and local conditions before setting out.
To rent a boat from us, you must have a valid boating licence if this is required for you. People born before 1 January 1980 are exempt from the boating licence requirement. We also recommend having valid travel insurance before heading out to sea.

Bringing your own boat? We offer berths in the harbour, and our neighbour, Bud Småbåthavn, has a boat ramp available for hire.
