Bitihorn
Just 15 minutes from the campsite lies Bitihorn – one of the most iconic mountains in the area. From the summit, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Jotunheimen and Lake Bygdin. The hike is suitable for both experienced and less experienced hikers.

Besseggen
Around 50 minutes from the campsite, you’ll find the starting point for the famous Besseggen ridge. This spectacular hike offers panoramic views of Gjende and Bessvatnet and is one of Norway’s most popular outdoor experiences.

Valdresflye
A 30-minute drive from Beitostølen takes you to the high mountain plateau of Valdresflye. Here, you can drive along one of Norway’s most scenic mountain roads, surrounded by vast landscapes, snow-capped peaks and, if you’re lucky, wild reindeer during the summer months.

Mjølkevegen

Synshorn Via Ferrata

Hegge Stave Church
Around 15 minutes from the campsite, you’ll find Hegge Stave Church, dating back to the 13th century. It’s one of the oldest churches in Valdres and features rich history and beautiful wood carvings.
