Vätterviksbadet Beach in Vadstena

Right on the campsite, you’ll find the popular Vätterviksbadet – one of Lake Vättern’s very best bathing spots. Here you’re greeted by soft sand underfoot, shallow waters, and a stunning view of the lake – perfect for swimmers of all ages.

 

The shallow bay means the water warms up quickly, and early in the season you can often enjoy your first swim of the year without freezing. During the height of summer, it’s not unusual for the water temperature to reach up to 25 degrees, making Vätterviksbadet a firm favourite among both campers and locals. Since the beach is located right next to the campsite, you’ll have easy access to toilets as well as a restaurant and shop during the summer season.
