Just 15 km southeast of Sommarvik you’ll find one of Sweden’s most beautiful courses – a hilly 18-hole park-and-forest layout in a stunning setting by Lake Svensbysjön.

About 30 minutes from Årjäng you’ll find Glaskogen Nature Reserve – a paradise for outdoor lovers, with 300+ km of forest- and lakeside trails, plus canoeing, fishing and cycling.
Årjängstravet’s trotting school runs courses and horse experiences for all ages – on race days and at other pre-booked times. Options include mini courses (4–6 yrs), children’s courses (7–15 yrs) and adult courses from 16.
Grab your friends for a game of bowling! Årjäng’s hotel has six lanes with disco lights, music and bumpers to help younger players.
Explore the history of horses and trotting at the Nordic Trotting Museum, featuring permanent exhibitions and a popular specialist library.
Riding adventures for all ages await: guided hacks (with or without a campfire stop), pony rides, riding camps and lessons in the paddock. There are also cosy bridleways and options for longer treks with overnight stays.
In Båstnäs, thousands of car wrecks from the 1930s–70s meet the power of nature – a hauntingly beautiful spot in every season.
Right in central Årjäng, Golfhallen offers a golf and hunting simulator. Practise your putting, hit a few shots, test your aim Wild-West style or try classic clay-pigeon shooting in the simulator.
Visit the legendary stone figure Borgåsgubben, said to have been raised in the 1600s–1700s to scare off enemies. The viewpoint also offers a fantastic panorama over Lake Västra Silen.
Sweden’s oldest preserved courthouse, completed in 1802 and used until 1936. In Långelanda you’ll find three protected buildings: a jail, an archive and the courthouse itself.
Årjäng’s must-see! The 8-metre-high troll (shoe size 3.5 meters) even has a tail that doubles as a slide – great fun for the whole family!
