Activities at the campsite

Sun, sand and summer swims await! The beach shelves gently, perfect for both kids and grown-ups to paddle, build sandcastles and soak up the vibe. Free sun loungers are available on the beach.

In summer our inflatable water attractions turn the bay into a floating playground for the whole family.

Explore the area on two wheels! Near Sommarvik you’ll find plenty of routes for short spins or long rides – including lit loops of 10, 16 and 22 km. The scenic trails at Orrfjället are a real treat for variety lovers. Fancy going further? Head for Glaskogen Nature Reserve: 28,000 hectares of winding roads, lakes, streams and vast forests, plus canoe routes, bathing spots, fishing waters and grill areas – a perfect full-day ride with your bike as best buddy.

Between weeks 27–32, we invite you to fantastic camping evenings with quiz nights and bingo twice a week. Sing along, shout “BINGO!” and enjoy a lovely evening together with family and fellow campers. The activities are, of course, included in the price when you book.

During weeks 27–32, we invite you to enjoy family activities at the campsite, where togetherness and movement take centre stage. Children, teenagers, and adults can join playful competitions, ball games, and other fun activities. Cast a line and relax by Lake Västra Silen, one of the largest lakes in the Dalsland Canal system. Its clear waters, minimal development and forested, rocky shores create a true wilderness feel. Västra Silen is well-known for perch and pike, with good chances of salmon and trout too.

On the Sommarvik site, shore and jetty fishing are free – ideal for a spontaneous session. To head out on the lake you’ll need a fishing permit; with 100+ km² of water there’s room for every angling dream. Fishing and conservation permits are available from us.

Lace up and hit the trails! Close to Sommarvik you’ll find lit tracks of 10, 16 and 22 km – perfect for anything from a short stroll to a full-day hike. Craving mountain vibes? Try the beautiful forest paths around Orrfjället. For a bigger adventure, head to Glaskogen Nature Reserve: 28,000 hectares of waterways, cosy forests and rich wildlife. You’ll also find shelters and grill spots along the way.

Play, have fun and make new camping besties at Yessi Club! Between weeks 27–32, we invite you to enjoy lots of fun kids’ club activities here at the campsite. Our lucky mascot Yessi joins every activity, spreading laughter, joy and plenty of magical hugs. All activities are included in the price when you book. A summer holiday you’ll never forget!

Let the kids explore and find their favourite among our many playgrounds! Wherever you’re staying on site, a play area is always close by. In summer there are inflatable play features out on the water, and you’ll often find a jumping pillow and volleyball net on the beach. Check the site map for exact locations.

Explore the surroundings on two wheels! From easy exercise loops to longer tours through forests and nature – we’ll be happy to give you tips on cycling routes and nearby excursions.

Pack your picnic basket and discover the calm waters of Lake Västra Silen by canoe! There’s room for the whole family, and the trip can easily be combined with a swim or a break at one of the lake’s many beautiful spots.
