Tomteland

Nusnäs – home of the Dala horse
Just a short drive from Moraparken is Nusnäs, where the classic Swedish Dala horses are made. Visit Nils Olsson or Grannas Hemslöjd and watch these iconic wooden horses being carved and hand-painted. A must when visiting Dalarna!

Mora town centre
Stroll through the charming streets of Mora and discover shops, cafés, Dala horses and traditional handicrafts along the way. There are plenty of little places to explore, making it perfect for a relaxed day out.
Mora Skidstadion Hemus
Mora Skidstadion Hemus is Mora’s largest recreational area, located around two kilometres from the town centre. There is a wide range of cross-country ski trails, which normally open from mid-November.
Zorngården & Zornmuseet
One of Mora’s best-known attractions! Here you can discover the art, home and fascinating history of Swedish artist Anders Zorn. Zorngården is beautifully preserved, while the museum features paintings, sculptures and temporary exhibitions.
Troll- och clownstigen
At Troll- och clownstigen, children can explore the forest and discover fun activity stations along the way. There’s also plenty of space to stop for a snack and a singalong. The route starts by the running tracks next to the football pitch in Östnor, close to the local community centre.
Vasaloppet Exhibition
Mora is the heart of Vasaloppet, and at the Vasaloppet Exhibition you can learn all about the history of this famous cross-country ski race and the competitions of today. A fascinating stop for sports fans and curious visitors of all ages.
Mora Church
One of Dalarna’s most beautiful churches, with origins dating back to the 13th century. Step inside to discover unique paintings, wooden sculptures and an impressive church interior right in the heart of Mora.
Siljan Geopark
Around 380 million years ago, a meteorite struck this part of Sweden and created what is now known as the Siljan Ring. The impact was so powerful that layers of rock were lifted and tilted – traces of this dramatic event can still be seen in the landscape today.
Budor Nature Reserve & Fryksås
Discover some of Dalarna’s most photogenic scenery, with beautiful viewpoints, hiking opportunities, traditional timber cottages and a wonderful sense of classic Dalarna.

Gopshus Slalombacke
Gopshusbacken is located close to the Vasaloppet trail and has two lifts and four slopes. The longest run is 1,350 metres, with a vertical drop of 180 metres. There are also opportunities for snowboarding.
Orsa Grönklitt
The outdoor paradise of Orsa Grönklitt offers exciting activities and nature experiences for the whole family throughout the year. In winter, the area is especially popular for cross-country skiing, with trails normally opening as early as late October.
Kråkbergsbadet
Kråkbergsbadet is within cycling distance of Mora. This popular swimming spot on Lake Orsasjön has shallow water and is a great choice for families with children.
Alderängsrundan
Alderängsrundan is a scenic hike through a nature reserve. Along the way, stop for a break at the beautifully situated shelter by the riverbank and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and sound of the flowing water.
Siljansbygdens Trädgård
Siljansbygdens Trädgård is a local gardening association that organises meetings, talks, plant swaps, garden walks, excursions and much more for gardening enthusiasts.
Mora Golfklubb
Mora Golf Club offers a centrally located 18-hole parkland and woodland course, par 72. The beautiful holes are surrounded by pine forest, and the course is situated beside the Österdalälven river, just two kilometres from the centre of Mora.
