Activities at the Campsite
At First Camp Herrgårdsliv – Kristinehamn there’s something for everyone, whether you’re after relaxation or fun. Why not start the day with a stroll along Lake Vänern? Little ones can go exploring in the Troll Forest or play at the playground, while older kids challenge the family to a round of adventure golf or head out for a bike ride.
The beautiful nature around the campsite invites easy hikes and cycle trips, and with Kristinehamn’s archipelago just around the corner it’s easy to discover the area by land and by water. If you’d like some calm on the lake, you can rent a canoe or boat and experience Vänern’s glittering waters up close. Drop by reception for more tips on outings and activities!
Adventure golf
Challenge the gang to a round of adventure mini golf – fun for big and small. The course is inspired by Kristinehamn’s sights in miniature, including the Picasso Sculpture, Christine af Bro and the Lusasken. Play a round, then go see the real sights afterwards!
Basketball
At the north entrance you’ll find an asphalt tennis and basketball court free for guests to use. Balls and rackets are available to borrow at reception.
Beach and swimming
Just 250 metres from the campsite you’ll find Skymningen Beach with two jetties, changing rooms and toilets – perfect for sunny days and cooling dips. By Hamnmagasinet there’s also a dedicated dog swim area for splashy fun.
For a longer outing, hop on the tour boat to Vålön and visit Sandvikarna Beach – a shallow sandy beach with a playground, much loved by families. Welcome to wonderful swim adventures by Vänern’s glittering waters!
Bouncy
For little ones with lots of energy, the jumping pillow is a must-stop favourite – bounce, play and laugh while the grown-ups watch nearby.
Entertainment
Between weeks 27–32, we invite you to fantastic camping evenings with quiz nights and bingo twice a week. Sing along, shout “BINGO!” and enjoy a lovely evening together with family and fellow campers. The activities are, of course, included in the price when you book.

Family activities
During weeks 27–32, we invite you to enjoy family activities at the campsite, where togetherness and movement take centre stage. Children, teenagers, and adults can join playful competitions, ball games, and other fun activities. A wonderful break from everyday life, focused on having fun together and creating new holiday memories. Read more at firstcamp.se/sommar
Football field
Head to Sjöängsvallen, just north of the campsite, to play football and challenge each other to a friendly match.
Hiking trails
Between the campsite and Sannakajen runs the 6-km Sannaleden. You’ll pass shoreline forest and a cosy rest spot with lovely views over Varnumsviken. Another tip is the “Tre öars led” – an easier day hike starting on Vålön and continuing over footbridges to Kalvön and Sibberön. The route is 4 km one way and offers walking through Värmland forest with magical views of Vänern’s horizon. Ask at reception for more tips!
Kids club
Play, have fun and make new camping besties at Yessi Club! Between weeks 27–32, we invite you to enjoy lots of fun kids’ club activities here at the campsite. Our lucky mascot Yessi joins every activity, spreading laughter, joy and plenty of magical hugs. All activities are included in the price when you book. A summer holiday you’ll never forget!
Rent a canoe
Rent a canoe at reception and head out for a wonderful paddling adventure in Kristinehamn’s archipelago! Follow Vålösundet to the famous Picasso Sculpture and continue to Vålön where Sandvikarna Beach offers one of Vänern’s finest sandy shores. Or point your paddle towards Kristinehamn’s Art Museum for a cultural break.
