Dog-friendly at Kärradal – Varberg

Dogs are warmly welcome at Kärradal! Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet of a small campsite close to both the sea and nature. With scenic coastal walking paths and the opportunity to swim outside of designated beach areas, there’s plenty of space for a relaxing holiday with your four-legged friend.

 

Dog Beach
There isn’t a designated dog beach in the area, but dogs are allowed to swim outside of the marked public beaches. The coastline is mostly rocky rather than sandy, but it’s easy to find a spot for a refreshing dip. According to current regulations, dogs may swim in all lakes, streams, and the sea – just not on official public beaches or in bird protection areas.

 

Dog play area
There’s a small dog play area on the campsite, and plans are in place to build a larger one in 2025 – more info to come!

 

Walking Trails
If you like going for walks with your dog, there are lovely routes both along the coastline and through areas with cabins and permanent residents. The nearby nature makes it easy to find peaceful and relaxing paths.
