Gränna – Vättern

Magical views over Lake Vättern

Right by the clear waters of Lake Vättern lies First Camp Gränna – Vättern, an all-year-round campsite with just over 400 pitches and a cosy cabin village right on the shoreline in the home of the famous polkagris candy. Here, you stay in a central location in the harbour area, within walking distance of Gränna’s charming town centre. No matter the season, wonderful experiences await – from summer’s lively harbour atmosphere to winter’s peaceful stillness, frosty walks and cosy moments in your cabin or caravan.

The service buildings on site are modern, offering showers, baby-changing facilities, a kitchen and a laundry room. There is also a service shop and restaurants. The bathing lagoon with its shallow sandy beach is right outside your door, and the nearby harbour is buzzing with cafés and restaurants.

Day trip to Visingsö
From the harbour right next to the campsite, the ferry departs frequently for Visingsö – Sweden’s most beautiful inland island. Here you’ll find castle ruins, historic sites, charming farm shops, bike-friendly roads and the famous horse-drawn Remmalag wagons. A destination that is just as stunning in summer as it is in autumn, winter and spring.

Gränna – the home of the polkagris
In Gränna, polkagris candy is cooked every day in almost every small sweet shop along Brahegatan. Step inside the traditional candy kitchens and watch the handcrafted process as the colourful stripes are rolled and twisted. Gränna is an oasis with its cosy old-fashioned town centre, filled with charming shops and historical sights. Among them are the Grenna Museum and the André Museum, which tell the fascinating story of the famous polar expedition.

For those seeking an active holiday, Gränna offers fantastic nature, with plenty of hiking and cycling trails for all levels right around the campsite. A warm welcome to First Camp Gränna – Vättern!
