Downhill Skiing

Ormbergsbacken
Just about 10 minutes from the campsite, you’ll find Ormbergsbacken – a small, family-friendly slope with button lift, big jump, and rails. There’s also a cozy sledding hill for the little ones. The municipality keeps the fire pits stocked with wood, so bring sausages and marshmallows for a perfect winter day!

Måttsundsbacken
About 25 minutes by car from the campsite, Måttsundsbacken is a popular ski area near the coast. Two lifts take you up to three slopes of varying difficulty, and kids have their own slope with a conveyor lift. There’s also a restaurant and warming hut.

Storklinten
Just over an hour from the campsite lies Storklinten, a larger ski resort with 18 runs and five lifts. Choose between green, blue, red, or black slopes – or try the sledding hill, cross-country tracks, and snowmobile rides. A restaurant awaits at the bottom of the hill for a well-deserved break.

Experience the Northern Lights from the Campsite

Beneath the starry night sky, the colors of the Northern Lights explode – a sight that feels almost unreal. Here, away from city lights, you’re surrounded by silence and pure natural magic. Feel the cold on your cheeks as the sky fills with a show you’ll never forget. A truly unforgettable experience – you couldn’t get closer to the Northern Lights!

Please note: Seeing the Northern Lights depends on weather conditions, so sightings can never be guaranteed.
