


Day trips and sights in Kungshamn
There’s plenty to do near the campsite in Kungshamn during your holiday. Discover popular attractions and excursion spots such as Nordens Ark, hiking in Ramsvikslandet, lobster fishing, and the famous Smögenbryggan. Feel free to ask us at the reception if you’d like more tips!

Kungshamn
Along the small streets of Kungshamn, you’ll find everything from charming interior shops to children’s clothing and fashion boutiques. There are also cafés and restaurants where you and your company can enjoy all the delights of the sea in a classic West Coast setting.

Strosa på Smögenbryggan
Take a leisurely stroll along the Smögenbryggan, surrounded by restaurants and shops housed in idyllic, colourful boathouses. It doesn’t get more West Coast than this! Most places open around Easter and then stay open on weekends until summer, when the area comes to life every day.

Besök Hunnebostrand
Visit Hunnebo, an idyllic and popular coastal town with small shops, restaurants, fishmongers, and plenty of lovely beaches and walking paths. Hunnebostrand is located about 10 km from the campsite and is perfect for a slightly longer bike ride.

Ferry to Hållö
From Kungshamn, the Hållö ferry departs daily during summer, and the trip takes about 10 minutes. On Hållö, you can visit Bohuslän’s oldest lighthouse, go hiking, see glacial potholes, and swim in the Marble Pool – one of the most stunning swimming spots on the West Coast.

Hiking in Ramsvikslandet
You’ll reach Ramsvikslandet by crossing the bridge over the Sotekanalen, about 3.5 km from the campsite in Solvik. Here, you can explore the beautiful Bohuslän coastline in one of the region’s most visited nature reserves. Enjoy scenic views and discover a truly unique landscape!

Seafood Buffet on M/S Soten
Experience something truly special! M/S Soten glides slowly through picturesque coastal villages and the Sotekanalen while you enjoy a generous West Coast seafood buffet and listen to traditional stories from Bohuslän.

Nordens Ark
Just 15 minutes from the campsite lies Nordens Ark, a very popular destination for families with children. One of the park’s main goals is to preserve endangered species, making the visit both educational and fun! Around 80 species live here – from toads to heritage breeds.

Vitlycke Museum and the Rock Carvings of Tanum
Travel back in time and discover what Bohuslän looked like during the Bronze Age. Marvel at thousands of figures carved into the rocks. This collection of images is unique in the world and is therefore listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sotenäs Golf Club
Sotenäs Golf Club is a top-class 27-hole course located about a 15-minute drive from the campsite. There’s also a restaurant at the course for those who want to combine their visit with a delicious lunch or dinner.

Island of Light Festival in Smögen
In late summer, a spectacular light art festival is held in Smögen, attracting visitors from all over the world. Here, the rugged landscape blends with modern technology to create fascinating works of art. A must-see experience!

Fishing with Smögens Fisketurer
Smögens Fisketurer offers fishing trips, crayfish tours, and lobster safaris – all departing from Smögen. Try, for example, the four-hour deep-sea fishing trip on the boat Wendla. On the family tour, you might catch mackerel, cod, coalfish, and ling. There are also good chances to spot seals and pull up crab pots along the way.

Archipelago Tours with Smögens Fisketurer
If you’re more interested in nature and birdlife, you can head out and experience the beautiful Bohuslän archipelago with Smögens Fisketurer. You can even go ashore on some of the islands – for example Hållö, where you’ll find a lighthouse and a small chapel.

Seal Safari
During summer, you can join a tour into the beautiful Lysekil archipelago and watch harbour seals sunbathe on the rocks. You’ll also enjoy a guided tour about the seals, marine life, and the surrounding nature along the West Coast.

Shellfish Fishing
Join a local fisherman for a full-day trip in the beautiful archipelago. You can fish, empty crayfish and lobster pots, or harvest oysters, mussels, and seaweed. Some tours even include preparing and tasting the day’s catch.

The Nordic Watercolour Museum
South of Solvik lies the beautiful island of Tjörn, home to the Nordic Watercolour Museum. Since opening in 2000, the museum has showcased world-class art by Salvador Dalí, Louise Bourgeois, and Nordic favourites such as Anders Zorn and Lars Lerin.
