How to reach the city

From the tranquility of nature to the pulse of the city – getting from the campsite into central Stockholm is both easy and convenient. With public transport, you can smoothly reach everything from shopping and attractions to trade fairs and concerts.

By public transport to central Stockholm

To get to central Stockholm, head to the bus stop Flatenbadet, located just outside the entrance road to the campsite. From here, bus 816 runs regularly to Gullmarsplan. There, you can easily – and with the same ticket – transfer to the green metro line for further travel to, for example, Gamla Stan, T-Centralen, or other stations along the line.

From Gamla Stan, you can, still on the same ticket, take the Djurgården ferry to the island of Djurgården. There you’ll find, among other things, Gröna Lund amusement park, Skansen open-air museum, the Nordic Museum, and much more.

Another option is to get off the same bus (816) earlier at Skarpnäck (on Horisontvägen). From there, it’s a short walk to Skarpnäck metro station, where you can take the green line towards the city.

To return to the campsite, take bus 816 towards Tyresö Centrum from Gullmarsplan and get off at Flatenbadet.

By public transport to Stockholmsmässan

Stockholmsmässan is the leading venue in the Nordics for sustainable fairs, conferences, and events. This is where popular events like the Formex fair and the Stockholm Dog Show take place.

From the campsite, regular buses take you to the venue – so you can avoid driving in the city and searching for parking.

Outside the entrance road you’ll find the Flatenbadet bus stop, where you take bus 816 towards Gullmarsplan. After about 6 minutes, get off at the stop Skarpnäck (on Horisontvägen) and change to bus 173 towards Skärholmen. After approximately 22 minutes you’ll reach Älvsjö, where Stockholmsmässan is located right next to the station. To return to the campsite, take bus 173 towards Skarpnäck, get off at Skarpnäck (on Horisontvägen), and transfer to bus 816 towards Tyresö Centrum. Get off at Flatenbadet, right by the campsite.

By public transport to Avicii Arena and 3Arena

Many international stars perform at Avicii Arena and 3Arena, and Hammarby and Djurgården also play their home football matches at 3Arena. Starting with the 2025/2026 season, AIK and Djurgården’s ice hockey teams will also play their home games at Avicii Arena.

Getting from the campsite to the arena area is quick and easy. Just outside the entrance road to the campsite is the Flatenbadet stop. From there, take bus 816 and get off at Gullmarsplan. The journey takes about 20 minutes, and the arenas are located right by the stop. To return to the campsite, take bus 816 from Gullmarsplan towards Tyresö Centrum and get off at Flatenbadet.

By public transport to Strawberry Arena and Westfield Mall of Scandinavia

Strawberry Arena is Sweden’s largest arena for sports and concerts, and AIK plays its home matches here. Right next door is Westfield Mall of Scandinavia – the largest shopping mall in Scandinavia with 169 stores and 43 restaurants.

To get there, head to the Flatenbadet bus stop, located just outside the entrance road to the campsite, and take bus 816 towards Gullmarsplan. Once there, transfer – on the same ticket – to the green metro line and travel to Odenplan. At Odenplan, change to a commuter train towards Märsta or Uppsala C. The next station is Solna Station, where both the arena and the mall are located.
