The beautiful scenery of Bjäre is ideal for discovering on foot. Walk on Skåneleden along sheep gardens and lush fields, through lush forests and over slopes with beautiful sea views. Or look out for Bjärehalvön’s northeastern part where Hov’s Hallar attracts its dramatic and beautiful coastal strip.
Another exciting way to experience the surroundings is from the horseback riding. Båstad Island horses and Westfield Horse Safari offer rides and day riding camps for both the beginner and the slightly more experienced rider.
Discover Sweden’s beautiful west coast along the Kattegattleden and stay with us during your trip! Kattegattleden is Sweden’s first national cycle route, extending from Helsingborg in the south to Gothenburg in the north, has a unique seaside location and offers beautiful views along the Halland coast. The trail is 370 kilometers long, almost next to car-free and goes through small fishing villages and summer towns like Båstad, Halmstad and Varberg. Along the coast you will also pass several historic sites and interesting destinations. You cycle around Tjolöholm Castle, Varbergs Fortress and Höganäs, which are famous for their family-owned farms and vineyards.
In order to get as much of this nature experience as possible, is it no better than staying at a campsite along the way? Here you can continue to be close to nature but at the same time have the comfort that can be lovely and much needed after a day on the bike saddle. Kattegattleden passes by four of First Camp’s camps, including the one here in Torekov. If you start cycling from the north you will be able to pass First Camp in Kärradal-Varberg, then Tylösand-Halmastad, the trail is also 2 km outside Mölle-Höganäs and 11 km outside of Torekov.
