Oskarshamn, Öland, Gotland & Blå jungfrun
From the campsite, it is just a 3 kilometers drive into Oskarshamn city where you can find a vast selection of shops, museums, the old town, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Further on, about an hours’ drive away, you can reach the island of Öland with its spectacular scenery and summer events. At the port of Oskarshamn, one can also take the ferry to Gotland and Öland or discover the mythical Blue Maiden National Park (Brocken).

Kingdom of Crystal
From the campsite, it is a one hour drive to these glassworks. Here handblown glass has been made since 1742.. More than a million tourists visit these glassworks every year to encounter the works of both everyday glass and art glass of world-class quality. One wil be fascinated to witness the process when the red-hot molten glass is transformed to create beautiful glass objects like bowls, crystal glasses and bottles.

Stensjö Village
Stensjö Village is a small village about 10 kms north of Oskarshamn. The village is well preserved from its original state in the 18th century. It was the film site for many of the scenes of the Bullerby Childrens films.
Blå Jungfrun (The Blue Maiden)
Discover the Blue Maiden National Park when staying at First Camp Gunnarsö-Oskarshamn! A beautiful island in Kalmarsund which is well worth a visit during the summer. The Blue Maiden stands 86 meters above sea level.
You can easily take the boat from Oskarshamn to the national park. There are daily tours during the summer from early June to August. On the island there are parkkeepers and guides to assist you during your visit. During high season there are guides on the tour boat telling you about the island and what to consider during a visit.
The terrain of the island varies and is sometimes quite difficult to detect due to the level differences from all different entrances. There are marked trails that go around the island that are recommended to follow.

Målilla älgpark
Umgås med skogens konung i Målilla Älgpark! På Kristinebergs gård bor familjen Österberg som driver Målilla Älgpark. Älgparken ligger cirka fem mil från campingen på Gunnarsö. På gården bor tre älgfamiljer med totalt 11 älgar, här bor även kronhjortar, kaniner, getter, höns samt katter och hundar. Alla djuren tycker om att umgås med människor.
På gården finns tre hägn för älgarna och i hägnen finns dammar där älgarna badar och simmar! För att göra det enkelt för gårdens besökare att uppleva älgarna på nära håll finns en gång med stängsel på båda sidor som går in i de tre hägnen. Runt Kristineberg finns även ett promenadstråk som är ungefär en kilometer. Under promenaden träffar ni älgarna på nära håll och kan stanna och umgås med djuren så länge ni vill.
De tre hägnen är uppkallade efter tre småländska länder: Apseland, Sevede och Handbörd. De är ca 5 hektar stora och varje älgfamilj bor i dessa med en vuxen tjur och en eller flera kor samt kalvar.
