The inauguration of the Vasaloppet House in 1994 included the opening of the Vasaloppet Museum housed in the same building. After a year of renovations, the doors opened up to a brand new Vasaloppet Museum just in time for the Vasaloppet Winter Week in 2013. The new museum gives visitors a broad perspective of the long history of the Vasaloppet Ski Race, showing, through modern expression, the journey from a long-distance race to an arena for wellness and public health all year round. Since 2017, there is also a special section about “Mora-Nisse”, the Vasaloppet Ski Race’s most famous profile.
