At Västerbotten’s museum in the Gammlia area there is always something discover for both young and old, both indoors and outdoors. The museum is responsible for the Västerbotten County cultural history and consists of a main building and an open-air museum with historical buildings. Take a look around the various exhibitions, visit the popular open-air museum, a Sami camp, or test your creative ability in any of the workshops on-site. The museum has among other things the world’s oldest ski, which is older than Egypt’s pyramids. There is also a café serving home cooked meals and sweets with a touch off the north.
A nice and traditional Christmas market is arranged before Christmas at Gammlia and Västerbotten Museum. Over 100 salesmen, crafts, locally produced food, bakery and much more. Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in historical environments with friends and family.
