Skiing in southern Sweden
If you are camping in at First Camp Gunnarsö-Oskarshamn during the winter, there are a couple of ski slopes in southern Sweden that you can go to with the family. Perfect for those who want to spend a weekend or week at the campsite even during winter!
Hjortberget in central Oskarshamn has a height of 41 meters. Here you will find great opportunities to learn how to ski and have fun on the snow. If you are a more advanced skiier you can choose from three different runs; Familjebacken, Teknikbacken and Stallbacken.
70 kilometers from the campsite lies Dackestupet, consisting of three different slopes with a main lift and two lifts in the kids slope. In the upper part of the family slope there are jumps and rails for all ages.
About 1.5 hours by car from the campsite at Gunnarsö, there are four ski lifts and seven runs in the Tolvmannaback ski area. The fall height is 140 meters and the longest slope is 1200 meters and it is Östra Götaland’s largest ski resort. This is a family resort with ski school, snowboard school and sledge slopes as well as a separate area for snowboarders.
