Social sustainability is a core part of our business, and for us, it’s about creating a fair and inclusive environment for everyone. This means ensuring that all employees, our guests, and our suppliers and partners are always treated with respect and dignity. By embracing social sustainability in all of these relationships, we contribute to a more just and sustainable future for all. Together, we can make a difference!
We focus on fostering a culture of inclusion, where every employee has the opportunity to grow and develop. We value each individual’s unique contribution and actively work to create a safe and supportive workplace.
❤️ We Care
To us, it’s essential that every guest has a positive and respectful experience. We strive to be attentive to our guests' needs and wishes, and by meeting them with care and joy, we build strong and lasting relationships.
🌞 We Have Fun
We also see our suppliers as key partners in our pursuit of social sustainability. By working with suppliers who share our values, we can together create a more sustainable and ethical value chain.
🙏 We Deliver Results
Summer is a particularly important season for us. That’s when we roll up our sleeves and strengthen our team with a dedicated group of seasonal employees. Every year, we welcome hundreds of summer workers who help create memorable experiences for our guests. Our seasonal staff are an invaluable part of the team, and during these busy weeks, we nearly double our workforce. That’s why a good introduction, clear training, and the right support are crucial to help them get up to speed quickly – especially since, for many, this is their first step into working life.
Equally important are our year-round employees, many of whom take on leadership roles and guide the way during our most action-packed days. We focus on training, involvement, and creating the right conditions for everyone to thrive and grow in their role. Several of our leaders and managers started out as seasonal workers themselves and have over time taken on greater responsibilities.

We actively apply competency-based recruitment. By focusing on skills and experience, we reduce the risk of discrimination in the hiring process, ensuring a fairer assessment for all candidates.
We are committed to improving health and well-being and to developing a positive environment for both employees and guests. That’s why both guest and staff areas are smoke-free.
All guest areas are smoke-free to create a healthy and pleasant environment for all visitors. This also reduces fire risks and protects the well-being of both guests and staff. First Camp is also a smoke-free workplace to promote a healthy work environment and protect all employees from the harmful effects of secondhand smoke.
We keep our guests informed about our sustainability initiatives to raise awareness and inspire engagement in important environmental issues. By encouraging our guests to take part, we can together reduce our environmental impact. By also educating all employees in our sustainability initiatives, we ensure that everyone can clearly and confidently communicate our commitment to sustainability to our guests.
We inform and encourage our guests to use eco-friendly modes of transport to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to more sustainable travel. We also aim to raise awareness about how transportation choices affect the local environment and ecosystems. Examples of eco-friendly transport include public transport (bus, train, etc.), carpooling, electric vehicles, and bicycles.
By engaging with local communities, First Camp supports positive change and raises awareness of important environmental and social issues. These activities also give our employees and guests the opportunity to take part in meaningful initiatives that make a difference.

We carefully select our partners, including our suppliers. They are informed about our sustainability work and encouraged to engage in sustainability efforts. We have developed a Code of Conduct for business partners based on the UN Global Compact. The primary aim of the UN Global Compact is to encourage companies to adopt sustainable and socially responsible business practices by adhering to ten principles related to human rights, labour standards, the environment, and anti-corruption.
In cases where external companies operate within First Camp’s facilities, they are informed about our sustainability efforts to ensure that our values and goals are reflected in their operations. We encourage them to actively engage in sustainability issues and integrate sustainable practices into their own processes. By collaborating in this way, we aim to create a unified and sustainable working environment for everyone.
First Camp is part of the First Camp Group. In our sustainability report, you can learn more about our shared goals, initiatives, and results.
Our kids’ club activities with our mascot Yessi have a strong focus on the environment and sustainability. Yessi shares knowledge with the children about nature, and many of her activities are designed to teach kids more about sustainable living.
Together, we can make the biggest difference! That’s why we always aim to inform and inspire our guests on how to make smart choices – for both the environment and the people around us.
One of the benefits of being a large chain is that we can work with strong and reliable suppliers. We carefully select our partners and actively seek those who share our view on sustainability.
