Mönsterås – Kronobäck Cloister church Ruins
Just south of Monsteras, lie the ruins of a medieval cloister church that was built in the late 15th century. The cloister church was used as a hospital and later in the late 15th century as a monastery for the monks of the Johaninit order. This Cloister Church in Kronoback is Sweden’s largest hospital church. The monastery is today a popular spot for visitors which hosts events such as the medieval themed events, markets, drama and concerts.
